Daphne Carol Largo

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Daphne, our loving and devoted mother, sister, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on September 25, 2021. She left us and succumbed due to a stroke at Atrium Northeast Hospital in Concord, NC. She was in her 59th year with her 60th birthday only 5 short days away. She was born September 30, 1961, at Lennox Hospital in Manhattan, New York, a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Largo.

After spending her early life in the Bronx, New York, where she worked at her job Cablevision for over 10 years and raised her children. Daphne decided to move to North Carolina in July 2001 to be closer to her oldest daughter and grandchildren. Daphne worked in various fields mostly in banking fraud departments and analyst positions lastly with Lowes corporate office.

Daphne attended Borough of Manhattan community college in New York City but her greatest achievement came when she graduated from Strayer University with her bachelor’s degree in 2012 alongside her daughter Karen who also graduated with her bachelor’s degree.  This accomplishment brought her much joy and gratification.

Anyone that knew Daphne knows that she was a fun person who loved to dance, listen to music, and enjoy her family especially her grandchildren.  She loved making jewelry, sewing, and shopping which is a joy she shared with her sister Yolanda.

She is survived by her daughters Karen Largo and Jennifer Williams, six grandchildren Deasia Hagler, DeAndre Hagler, Donavahn Hagler, Zaria Williams, Dakari Hagler and Zoey Williams, great grandson Casyn Barnes all of Charlotte, NC, Brother Robert Largo Jr. of New York, sister Yolanda Largo of Connecticut, niece Ebony Largo of Queens, New York, two nephews Charles David and Vincent David of Connecticut, a host of cousins and close friends.
