She left us and succumbed due to a stroke at Atrium Northeast Hospital in Concord, NC. She was in her 59th year with her 60th birthday only 5 short days away. Daphne attended Borough of Manhattan community college in New York City but her greatest achievement came when she graduated from Strayer University with her bachelor’s degree in 2012 alongside her daughter Karen who also graduated with her bachelor’s degree. This accomplishment brought her much joy and gratification.
