JoAnn Cuthbertson Lockwood born March 25th, 1940 in Charlotte, NC was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend and lover of the Lord. She went to be with Jesus on Wednesday October 27th, 2021 at the age of 81.
She was survived by her children Scott Napier, Gina Kunkle, and Evan Lockwood. She was pre-deceased by her husband Larry Lockwood. She was a loving grandmother to her 3 grandchildren Jimmy Kunkle, Jessica Russell and Payton Kunkle as well as Lauren Lockwood expected in December 2021. She was also a doting great grandmother to Jak and Emmy Kunkle.
JoAnn was an avid gardener, animal lover, loved a good trip to Belk's and had a black belt in sassiness. She was often affectionately referred to as 'Lucy' by close friends. Her smile and laugh will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was indeed a bright light to every room she entered.
A memorial in JoAnn's honor will be held on Saturday November 6th from 2:00-4:00pm, guests will be received beginning at 1:00pm at Carolina Funeral Service and Cremation Center located at 5505 Monroe Road Charlotte NC 28212 (704) 568-0023.
