Karen Anne Catlett Beckloff, 57, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 23, 2021 at Novant Hospice Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born on November 30, 1964 in Lynchburg, Virginia, the daughter of David L. Catlett and Dolores Moore Catlett.
Karen graduated from Central Virginia Community College in 1984, where she met her husband, Jonathan E. Beckloff. They celebrated 36 years of marriage in July. Proceeding her in death are both of her parents and her brothers Kenneth B. Catlett and David T. Catlett both of Lynchburg, Virginia. She is survived by her husband Jonathan, daughter Shannon and son Bryan, all of Charlotte. She leaves behind brothers Gary Harding, Craig Harding, Frank Catlett, Jeff Catlett, and sisters Rhonda Proffitt and her husband Wayne, Connie Anderson, and her husband David, and Sallie Catlett. She has multiple nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly.
Karen was a Godly wife and a loving mother. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. Karen was always the one to make any situation better with a good laugh. Karen was always good with her hands. She could create anything out of well, anything. She loved gardening, scrapbooking, and teaching children in a daycare. She was always creative. Karen also loved her family with all her heart. She always put them first even if she didn’t have to. Karen was the type of woman to always listen whole heartedly. She always had the best advice and was full of wisdom. She may be gone from this world, but she will never be forgotten.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Immanuel's Church 6010 Mill Grove Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079, followed by a dinner afterwards.
