Edward Frank Balzer, 57, born June 2, 1964, passed away on November 13 2021 in Charlotte, NC.
He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Jane. His children Chelsea Rae Perry (Collin) and his grandson Nathan, 2, and granddaughter Avery, 5 months. He also leaves behind his two sons, Corbin Edward Balzer and Edward Chase Balzer.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Antosia Balzer. He is survived by his father, Edward Joseph Balzer and his sister Lisa Balzer and his brothers, Greg Balzer (Teresa) and Randolph Balzer (Suzie).
He is also survived by his sister in law Judy Ainsworth (Dan). He had many nieces and nephews and cousins who he loved very much!!! Eddie had many close friends but his best friend, Mark Dunn was his buddy. They loved spending time together and Wednesdays were extra special.
Eddie was a facility supervisor at Providence Day School for 23 years until _he became ill in 2017. He also worked on weekends for many years at MARA as a grounds and facility worker. He took this job so he could provide vacations for his family. He met many wonderful friends and families as our children played baseball and softball. He loved his co-workers especially his good friend Thomas Tarrant and friends, wayne Haigler and Don Hagler. Eddie also loved all the teachers and staff at PDS and tried his best by supporting the faculty and made sure the teachers had what they needed. He was so grateful for all the faculty at PDS.
Eddie lived with Jesus in his heart and he was a very hard-working, supportive, caring and loving husband. He loved spending time with his family more than anything. He always attended our childrens sporting events and was the first one to give advice ! ! He loved his New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers too. He really enjoyed golfing, playing cards with his friends and family, traveling all over, especially Florida and having bonfires in the backyard. Eddie was very passionate about his movies and music and his singing and dancing was very entertaining! He loved history and was so grateful to go on Civil war trips with he students at PDS.
Eddie was a very kind-hearted, generous man and he just loved spreading joy to others!!! His laughter was never ending and he never met a stranger!!! He just loved everyone!!!! He was a great man and his family is very proud and grateful to have had Eddie in their lives and he will be remembered forever!!!!
