Loving mother of three girls and one boy zest for life will be remembered with love long after her passing.  Rita Dixon passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on July 15, 2022, in Charlotte North Carolina, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will strive to honor her memory by living their lives to the fullest.

Rita was born on July 3, 1948, to Sue Ella Dixon and Edward Lee Dixon in Brooklyn New York. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always protected her loved ones. She was a strong woman that endured and lot in life but persevered through it all with her head up high.
In 2000, Rita retired and loved spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling to see her sisters and brother. She also enjoyed her children and grandchildren for Sunday dinners at her house and spending time with her grandchildren.

Rita was predeceased by her parents Susan Dixon, Edward Dixon;husband Elliott S. Pickett; her son Kevin Dixon, and nephews Jervy Dixon, Shamar Watts, Tyreak Watts and Najee Baker. She is survived by her children, Dawn Dixon Frame, Sabrina Dixon, Elliott Dixon, and Retia Dixon; her grandchildren Korin Dixon, Gabri’yelle Dixon, G’arrid Dixon, her great-granddaughter Sarabi Elmore her sisters Barbara Felix, Constance Watts, Betty Dixon, Diane Lance, Nancy Dixon, Timothy Dixon, Joanne Pauling, and Charlotte Allen, and abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins.
