Robert W. Reynolds

Robert Word Reynolds, (Robert) left this world to be with his savior Jesus Christ on August 24, 2022 due to complications of congestive heart failure. He was born on September 18, 1937 in Lucknow, SC to Leila Mae and Robert W. Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Judy Coker Reynolds.
Robert was 84 years old and a resident of Matthews, NC. He lived in Charlotte, NC for many years. He was an outstanding general contractor and took pride in his work. He and his son worked for several years together in the business until he retired and dissolved, Robert Reynolds Construction Company, Inc. in 2017.
He loved his family so much and enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them. He was always there to help out with construction projects and fix-it items. His grandsons used to say if we can't fix it Pops the builder can. He was a caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was known to those that were close to him as Pops. He enjoyed spending time on the patio watching the birds, enjoying the flowers, holding his little girl Zebedee, his poodle, on his lap.
Robert was a member of Matthews United Methodist Church. He enjoyed the friendship and fellowship of his church and appreciated the support they have provided to him. He was a former member of St Stephen United Methodist church and Memorial United Methodist Church. He sang in the choir and looked forward to anytime he could sing praise to his Lord and Savior.
Robert was very strong in his faith and had a tremendous love for Jesus Christ. Each morning he would have breakfast and tea while reading his Bible. He enjoyed reading Guide Post, and In Touch daily devotionals. He also loved reading about animals.
Robert will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him and loved him, but he is now in the loving arms of Jesus.
Robert is survived by his son Trip (Karen), his daughters Tascha Reynolds Ingram (John) and Tandace Martz (Charlie), his grandsons Zac Martz, and Caleb Reynolds, and his sweet poodle Zebedee.
A graveside service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at 12:00pm on August 27, 2022 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC. 28212
