Tecla "Mima" Valera Franco Obituary

Mima, 68, passed away 2/27/2022 here in Charlotte surrounded by her loved ones.

Mima was born 9/23/1958 to Veronica Franco and Silvestre Valera. Who loved her with everything during her lifetime. Especially by her mom, who saw all her 14 children as the light of her eyes.

Mima was a loving woman in all aspects. A wonderful mother, the best wife there was, an excellent friend, and an amazing grandma and great grandma who spoiled her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a woman who loved her family and always put them first. Everything she did in life was so that her family could be better.

Ever since Mima was a child she was mature, independent, and a warrior. As she saw that her mother needed the support from her older children, she started working at a young age. Along with her mother’s advices and support from her and her older brothers, who were like a father to her, she was able to become an excellent woman. She was always willing to help her family. The little money that she would work for, was given to her household full of love. She worked and fought very hard that she had a recognizable position at the hotels Parca and Lincoln in Cuba.

Mima has 6 children that were the reason of her life. Roberto, Osmar, Lazarita, Yadira, Natasha, and Arquelis were the true loves of her life.
